Handsome Biscuit is hands down one of the best spots in Norfolk! No matter how busy they are, the staff is always upbeat, friendly, and super helpful. I love the convenience of the touchscreen ordering, but let’s be real—the true star of the show is the food. Their sweet potato biscuits? Absolutely to die for. Fluffy, slightly sweet, and the perfect match for their crispy, flavorful chicken. Every bite is just chef’s kiss! The food is always hot, fresh, and consistently amazing, which is why I keep coming back time and time again. This place is a Norfolk staple, no question. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out. I’ve been a loyal patron for years, and I’ll be coming back for many more!
I took my mom here. She had the dirty south biscuit. I had the Nashville hot. They were both great. Kyle , Megan , and Darion collectively made it a delicious experience.
This place is so good. Sure the biscuits are not cheap, their classics are 9, but they taste so good. I got to try a sweet potato and regular biscuit and I preferred the regular. Both were good though. There is no space to eat inside so avoid going on a rainy day unless you are ordering take out. The register is self checkout which makes ordering really easy. They only take card so keep that in mind.
Everyone said this was the place, all the food websites, the reviews, and friends….so obviously I checked it out and it did not disappoint. Opted for a standard bacon egg and cheese biscuit not then made an audible and got it on a sweet potato biscuit. Delicious. Staff is super friendly, prices are good and a bonus of getting to feed the birds all my crumbs on the patio was a nice way to kick off my day. Thank you for the meal!
There's only outdoor seating if you plan on eating there. On a nice day it's perfect. The staff are very nice and informative. It's kiosk ordering but if you have questions they're right there to answer your questions. Now...to the food. It's worth the money. That Hellafitzgerald and loaded tots were smacking!! If you in Va near downtown Norfolk you gotta give this place a try.
First visit and we will definitely be returning! Upon entering, we were asked if it was our first visit. When we said yes, the employee took the time to thoroughly go over the menu with us. She was very friendly and helpful! We ordered the Nashville hot chicken biscuit and made it combos with tots and a drink. They have a good biscuit selection including an option to build your own. There are also sandwiches, wraps, desserts and a great selection of drinks. The biscuit was huge and delicious! Just the right amount of spice and sauce. The tots were hot and crispy. I recommend dipping them in the Comeback Sauce. The lemonade and sweet tea were delicious also! Carry out, delivery and patio seating are the dining options. We sat at the tables outside and while it was fine, please be aware you will have birds sitting on the table right next to you. These birds have no fear. They obviously know how good these biscuits are too! Seriously though, if you are afraid of birds, the patio is probably not for you!
Truly awesome food, a must-visit Norfolk gem. Biscuits are perfect, savory and delicious. Chicken classic is fantastic, Comeback sauce is similar to Chick-fil-A sauce. Nuggets and shorty with bacon great as well. Dolly Madison is a must-try dessert, plenty of cream cheese frosting and mixed berry jam to satisfy your sweet tooth! Reasonably priced, fast and friendly service. Update 09/2024: Chicken breakfast wrap and shorty excellent as well, although they forgot to put the bacon we paid for on our shorty :(
Took a long ride with my Handsome man to this not so well known place in Suffolk to the Ghent area of Norfolk this morning. Crowded, but cozy. They have it running in a like a tight vessel. Placed order and did not take too long. Will be back. Food was great
